Tendency No. 1
“Prelude”
the tendency to procrastinate
So here it is 7pm, and I’ve been working for the last 12 hours getting last-minute re-orchestrations ready, and somehow have found a way to avoid actually writing the first blog post in my “Eight Days of the Alligator” series. Welcome to Tendency no. 1.
I really do have exciting things to say about all of the other movements of this show, but I can’t lie: this one will not be that memorable.
Since I won’t be talking between movements, I’ll be using the prelude to introduce my awesome band: they will start playing, and then I will talk over them.
The Prelude is a rip-off of themes from Tendency No. 6, which IS Very Exciting, and you should definitely read my blog on Monday to find out about it.
Here is the band I will be introducing to you, in score order:
Dan Breilmaier, oboe
Michele Jacot, winds
David French, winds
Ben Dietschi, winds
Pol Cousee, bass clarinet
Rebecca Norman, bassoon
Trumpets:
Steve Dyte
Matt Maclean
Lina Allemano
Trombones:
William Carn
Darren Sigesmund
Colin Murray
Ali Berkok, piano
Ashley Summers, bass

Kristin Mueller-Heaslip, voice
